Erie Cathedral Prep wins state title with 8 champions (their first tournament).
1965
Notre Dame wins state title over Erie Cathedral Prep 27-26. Erie’s heavyweight lost a decision in the final bout clinching the title for Notre Dame. Champions were as follows:

1973
PCIAA schools are permitted to compete in the PIAA State Championships. Allentown Central Catholic and Bethlehem Catholic chose to compete in the PIAA in 1973. Notre Dame hosted a dwindling number of teams competing in the PCIAA in 1973. Lehigh Valley teams had won the last eight championships in a row.
Canevin Catholic of Pittsburg won the team title while Notre Dame placed 3rd. Notre Dame had one individual champion as follows:

1974
By 1974, many Catholic schools had made the switch to the PIAA ; 49 were full-fledged members including nine from District XI according to an Associated Press article. It appears that no PCIAA State Wrestling Championship was held in 1974; however, it is known that the last basketball championships were held in 1974.
